Biblical Faith

What is biblical faith? There are many things, people, and places that we can believe in. However, the reality is that biblical faith is the belief and total trust in the one true living God that we learn about through the word of God (the Holy Bible). Hebrews 11:1 states, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” Faith in the Holy Bible is the decision to fully believe in God’s word, even if one has not personally witnessed the events. It leads one to walk in obedience to what they have learned and trust in what lies ahead because one believes in having total confidence in what they have read to the point of knowing, regardless of the circumstances, the word of God is real. As we see in scripture in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

So, the question posed is, are you walking and living in biblical faith, or are you believing everything, not even sure if it is biblically correct?

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:11-12
