We must exercise caution and recognize that the enemy will use the world to manipulate us and persuade us to give in to our desires and emotions, which will eventually spiral out of control. Your emotions have the capacity to become so strong that you will grow dissatisfied with the blessings that are there in front of you. You will make regrettable decisions because of your desires. You must know this is a deceptive tactic used by Satan to divert your attention and distract you from the path the Lord is attempting to take you on. Get ready and flee from these emotions and desires by practicing being aware of them. Running seems like a big task, but you must realize that if something is stopping your relationship with Jesus, it’s worth it.
The Bible tells us that we should be content in all things, that our expectations should be from him. If it’s the pressure from the world, it’s not of Him. Put God first and surrender your desires; it opens you up to see what’s before you.
