Lovest Thou Me? Finding Hope and Revival in Bleak Times

We have just concluded a powerful three-night revival centered around the theme, “Lovest Thou Me?” This revival was deeply close to my heart, specifically intended to breathe life back into believers who have lost hope and let the heavy burdens of life get the best of them. We are living in a time where so many people are struggling with their faith because everything around them looks bleak. Many have made the decision to throw in the towel and just give up.
Satan wants us to think, “What’s the use? Why even fight? Things will never change.” But this revival was brought to bring life back.
Over the past three nights, it was truly a blessing to see the move of the Holy Spirit as many souls were revived, saved, and delivered. I am writing today to remind you that the miraculous things we read about in the Bible are not just history. Our Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). If He did it for them, He will absolutely do it for you.
A Testimony of Deliverance
During the services, I shared a piece of my own testimony of how the Lord brought me out. Having survived sexual, emotional, and mental abuse as a child, coming to Jesus was the absolute best thing I could have ever done for my life.
He didn’t just heal me—He taught me how to truly love, how to value relationships, and how to completely rewrite my story. Yes, I had to make incredibly hard decisions, choosing a path that was entirely different from everything I had ever known growing up. But I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
As I learned what it truly means to be a Christian and consistently applied biblical principles to my life over the years, I have seen His hand moving mightily. When you make the definitive choice to follow Christ, He will renew your mind and grant you the supernatural peace needed to sustain you in these times.
Getting Back on Track with the Lord
If you have ventured off and find yourself slipping into despair, I want to leave you with this powerful scripture from 1 Peter 5:6-7:
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Never forget that He cares deeply for you. If you need to hit the reset button today, here are the steps to get back on track:
- Repent: Turn away from the doubts, the distance, and the distractions, and turn your heart back toward the Father.
- Talk to Him: Open your heart in prayer and hand over all your worries, stresses, and heavy cares. He is ready to carry what you were never meant to bear alone.
